Much-loved EastEnders favourite lands new job
Things finally set to improve for Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) in upcoming EastEnders scenes after her turbulent run-in with Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).
As viewers of the BBC One soap know, Nish’s ex-wife Suki (Balvinder Sopal) and son Vinny (Shiv Jalota) devised a plot against him so that they can get their hands on his business assets.
The idea was, if they were able to convince him that they had forgiven him, he may be tempted to revise his will. Currently, everything is going to be left to the Gurdwara.
Nish wasn’t totally convinced by Vinny’s efforts to ‘reconcile’, and he knew that he had to work harder to win him round.
Sadly for Priya, that meant kicking her out of the Panesar family home, No. 41 Albert Square, after she was caught kissing Nish and he told everyone that they’d slept together.
The move seemed to impress him, and she was left homeless – resulting in some desperate measures.
Luring him into the store room of the Minute Mart under false pretences, she proceeded to handcuff him to the pipework until he agreed to film a confession video, admitting that he lied over their sex scandal.
Later, Vinny and Suki wondered why the shop was closed and openly discussed their plan, unaware that Nish could hear every word from the next room.
The next day, with Ravi (Aaron Thiara) concerned for his dad’s whereabouts, the clan noticed that the shop was closed and found him in the store room.
