Michelle Randolph’s Ainsley Gives an Update on Landman Season 2
Could filming be starting at the end of this month? Here’s what we know.
It’s been a little over a month since the Landman season one finale aired, and there’s been no news yet regarding season two.
However this week, star Michelle Randolph shared an update on the second season with T&C. “I am just really excited that people love it so much, and I think that if we get a chance to keep doing it, I’ll do it as long as Taylor lets us,” she said.
Previously, Demi Moore had said that they would be returning for a second season at the “beginning” of 2025, but there has been no definitive confirmation thus far.
“I understand that if we’re going to do that — season 2 — that it’s going to be sometime around February, March, somewhere in there,” Billy Bob Thornton said last year. “I mean, we’ll see. It just depends on how the chips may fall, you never know in this business.”
In a separate interview earlier this year, Thorton revealed, “Taylor keeps it pretty close to the vest until it’s time… when he knows it’s time, he’ll let me know. And when he lets me know, he really lets me know the whole thing. It’s kind of like you want to get all the dust out of the corners before the family gets home when you’re cleaning the house. He really wants it to be where it’s supposed to be before any of us hear about it.”
The Direct recently noted that Landman Season 2 was spotted on the production list on the Film & Television Industry Alliance, with production scheduled to begin on February 28, 2025.
Paramount+ has yet to confirm a season two renewal, but all signs seem promising for the oil drama.
