SHOCKING TWIST in Yellowstone Season 5 Finale: You WON’T BELIEVE Who BITES THE DUST!
Cole Hauser Reveals Yellowstone’s Final Season Is Going To Be Bloody
If fans weren’t already fired up for the return – and conclusion – of Yellowstone, this quote from Rip Wheeler himself will surely get fans of the western drama excited. The actor behind the great ranchman named Rip, Cole Hauser, had plenty to say about the final episodes and series finale of Yellowstone when he sat down with Parade.
With the fan-favorite show wrapping up after five seasons – and an incredibly long wait between parts one and two of the final season, might I add – Hauser was asked what fans can expect heading into the final six episodes of TV’s number one show.
He said that with all of the storylines needing to be tied up into a bow, along with one storyline that is now complicatedly over (?) with Kevin Costner not returning as John Dutton, things get chaotic – especially for Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton:
“It’s a pretty emotional year, and everyone is trying to pick up the pieces and move forward. You see Rip supporting (Beth) a lot. There’s been tremendous loss. Being the man that he is, and also the husband and the friend that he is to her, there’s just a lot of support and Rip trying to do the best he can to help her.”
Notice how Hauser described the last year as having “tremendous loss.” That loss is presumed to be Kevin Costner’s John Dutton, though its still unclear how Taylor Sheridan and the writers of Yellowstone will conclude the main character’s story.
As for what fans can expect from Rip Wheeler, Hauser kept that answer short, sweet, and simple:
“You’ll have to wait. Listen, Rip does a lot of the killing. I’ll tell you that.”
Sounds great to me.
It’ll be sad to say goodbye to a show that has meant so much to so many people. Yellowstone first aired in 2018, and it’s now set to wrap up (at least the main show) in 2024. Then again, many fans will just be happy that it’s back in some form or fashion, considering it took so long to finish out the series after a number of significant delays.
Hauser voiced that he’ll always be appreciative of the opportunity he got with the show, and can’t thank the fans enough for their support of his portrayal of Rip Wheeler:
“Taylor pushed me in a lot of areas and showed the audience another side of me. I’m very thankful for that. I’ve learned a lot about what it takes to be a professional when it comes to doing something for a very long time. It’s also been a tough job at times battling the elements while being a cowboy on horseback out in the mountains.
I’ve learned a wealth of knowledge behind the camera by working with talent across the board. It’s given me a lot of opportunities. We never thought Rip would be so loved! But I’m happy that the character has touched so many people. Taylor has written some wonderful scenes where you get to see all of these colors, which is a dream come true for an actor. That’s what made the role and the show special for me.”
Yellowstone returns and starts airing its final six episodes on the Paramount Network starting November 10th. Here’s the latest trailer if you needed a little Yellowstone fix to hold you over:
