Yellowstone’s Kelly Reilly Breaks Silence on Season 6 and Spinoff Reports

Yellowstone star Kelly Reilly talks about her future on the show, addressing whether she’ll be back in the role of Beth Dutton. It has been almost two years since the hit Western drama has debuted a new episode. A lot has changed for the franchise in that time, with Kevin Costner officially exiting the central role of John Dutton, not to mention more spinoffs of the Taylor Sheridan series getting announced. But what happens to the main series after Yellowstone season 5 part 2 remains unclear.

In an interview with The New York Times to discuss Yellowstone season 5 part 2, which premieres Sunday, November 10 at 8 PM ET on the Paramount Network, Reilly talks about what was next for her after the upcoming episodes conclude their run. Although the actor is open to continuing as Beth Dutton, she described the show’s potential future as a “a new beginning.” In the quote below, however, she also expresses some trepidation about continuing in the role:

If there is a new beginning, it’s a new beginning. I’m like, all right, let’s get up and put our big girl pants on.

It’s a big energy. That’s not something in my body that I need. I love her, but I’m very happy to let her disappear.

The fallout from Costner’s exit looms over Yellowstone, with a starry spinoff going through a few potential forms before settling on the title of The Madison. Led by Michelle Pfeiffer, the three-time Oscar nominee will be joined by Kurt Russell, Patrick J. Adams, Beau Garrett, and Matthew Fox, among others, to tell the story of a New York family in Montana.
